Johnny Roger Conner
Johnny Roger Conner, 80, of Breckenridge, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 11, 2021. His graveside service at the Breckenridge Cemetery will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2021, under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Roger was born on October 28, 1941, in Whittier, California, to Mann and Mildred Conner. The family moved to Texas shortly thereafter. Roger joined the United States Army after high school and served for four years.
Roger met Treta Kay Roland in 1963, and the two wed in 1964. The couple was married for nine years before they had their two sons, Kevin and Keith.
Roger enjoyed time working on cars and fishing with his family. He was also a proud Papa to two grandsons, Dustin and Devon.
Roger is survived by his wife of 57 years, Treta Conner; his two sons, Kevin Conner, and Keith Conner and Robin of Breckenridge; two grandsons, Dustin Conner and Vanessa Salazar of Abilene, Texas, and Devon Conner and Lucy of Breckenridge; sister, Diane Hunt of Loop, Texas; brother, Dennis Conner and Sandy of Andrews, Texas; along with many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in Roger’s name can be made to Solaris Hospice and can be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
