Rosie Lee Moore, 97, of Breckenridge Texas, was called home to glory on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Her graveside service at the Breckenridge Cemetery will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2021, with Danny Brown officiating. Services have been entrusted to Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Rosie was born on June 24, 1924, in Reagan, Texas, to parents Sadie Vernilla Wilson and Seward Wright. She was a domestic engineer for many years. She resided in Haskell, Texas, for a number of years before relocating to Breckenridge, Texas. She was a member of Kingdoms Builders Fellowship in Eastland, Texas, which is led by her nephew, Danny Brown, as pastor.

Rosie was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Moore; parents, Sadie V. Wilson and Seward Wright; siblings, Velma Peterson, Cutie Marshall, Alandrus Peterson, Howard Gibbs, and Eugene McDonald; her precious children, Seward Thompson and Audry Swann; and granddaughters, Peaches Thompson and Darinda McFarland.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Daniel Lloyd Thompson of Breckenridge; sisters, Audry Brown also of Breckenridge, and Hattie Marsh of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her doting, loving grandchildren: Carnell Thompson; Sadie Collins; Bonnie Parker; Daniel, Robert Jr, Issac, Relandus, and Seward Swann; Aqrica Hooker; and Art and Grayson Thompson. She has a host of great- and great-great-grandchildren along with a multitude of loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Memorial donations can be made in Rosie’s name to the Scotty Brown Memorial Scholarship or Meals on Wheels and can be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
