Sonny Robbins, age 76, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021. The family will have a memorial service at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

James Edward Robbins was born November 5, 1944, in Petrolia, Texas, to James Everett Robbins and Lillian Callaway Robbins. He graduated from Breckenridge High School and later joined the National Guard. Sonny worked as the assistant Post Master in Breckenridge for many years. He also worked in construction until his retirement in 2015. On July 10, 2004, he married Bonnie Fetzer in Benbrook, Texas. Sonny was a member of the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Everett and Lillian Robbins; and his son, Van Robbins.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Bonnie Robbins of Breckenridge; children, Landa Stewart and husband Tim, and Robyn Jackson and husband Jon, all of Breckenridge, and Scott Ayers and wife Lauren of Wisconsin; three sisters, Phyllis Sarchett, Helen Hawkins and husband Paul, all of Gordonville, and Lyndal Moreno of San Antonio; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
