Daniel Jimenez, Sr., age 48, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, October 8, at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Don Bearden officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 7, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel.

Daniel Jimenez was born July 12, 1973, in Breckenridge to parents Isabel Jimenez and Esperanza Morales Jimenez. He went to school in Breckenridge. Daniel worked as a truck driver for many years. On February 16, 2005, he married Deenell Gay Gabriel in Breckenridge. Growing up, he enjoyed going to the Copeland Ranch in Strawn with his dad. He loved hanging out and listening to music, especially with his brother, Jimmy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Isabel “Chavelo” Jimenez; one brother, Jimmy Joe Jimenez; and his nephew, Anthony Pineda.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Dee Jimenez of Breckenridge; his mother, Esperanza Jimenez of Breckenridge; five children, Daniel Jimenez and wife Fidensia, Cecilio “Joe” Jimenez and wife Aurelia, Alicia Jimenez and Eli Bueno, Carlito Jimenez and wife Monica, Destiny Jimenez and Preston Elkins, all of Breckenridge; four siblings, Connie Pineda and husband Francisco, Isabel Jimenez, all of Breckenridge, Joe Jimenez and wife Barbara of Oklahoma, Robert Gonzales and wife Deborah; twelve grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
