Jack B. Epley, 93, passed from this earth into eternal life on Sunday, September 26, 2021. His funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Randy Hogue officiating. His interment will immediately follow at the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Jack had an exciting and adventuresome life. He rode bulls and horses in the rodeo, drove logging trucks in the New Mexico and Colorado mountains, and drove big rig gravel trucks all over North Texas. He was “Rich in Life” and was “A Man of His Word.” A handshake was his contract and he always had something good to say about everyone.

When he turned off his diesel truck for the last time, you would still see him at the old truck stop, Petro, sitting in the trucker’s section. He never met a stranger and always had a good story for you.

Jack and his wife, Raydene, met in Albany, Texas, and spent 71 glorious years together until his passing. Together they had two daughters, Linda Marks and Diane Bartlett; one granddaughter, Tammy; along with three great-grandsons and two great-great-grandsons.

Memorials donations in Jack’s name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolence may be made at meltonkitchens.com.
