Rogelio “Roger” Perez, age 54, of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 25, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Nieto officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 24, at Morehart Mortuary.

Rogelio “Roger” Perez was born on May 1, 1967, in Del Rio, Texas, to parents, Armando Ramos Perez, Sr. and Sara Lopez Perez. After high school, he attended college and later joined the United State Marine Corps. He served for several years, serving in Desert Storm in Kuwait, before his honorable discharge. Roger was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and attended Cathedral of Hope in Dallas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Armando Perez, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Sara Perez of Breckenridge; five brothers, Armando Perez, Jr. and wife Liquita, Marcos Perez and wife Cynthia, Ricardo Perez, Gabriel Perez, and David Perez, all of Breckenridge; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Resource Center in Dallas, 5750 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas, TX 75235, and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
