Nancy Karl
Nancy Karl, age 77, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 18, at Breckenridge Cemetery with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Nancy Dee Karl was born January 12, 1944, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Richard Lamar Sorgee and Nan Echols Sorgee. She grew up in Breckenridge and later graduated from Breckenridge High School. On February 10, 1968, Nancy married Hollis Karl. She attended both Trinity Baptist and Gunsight Baptist over the years and enjoyed attending special events that celebrated Jesus at many churches in town. Nancy delighted in her grandchildren and spent many special days baking cookies and taking walks with them. They were the light of her life. She enjoyed many long walks and visiting friends along the way. She also enjoyed baking sweets and sharing them with her community.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hollis; grandson, Gunnar; sisters, JoAnne and Neva; brothers, Pate and Gene.
Mrs. Karl is survived by her two sons, Darren and wife Jeannie, and Derek and wife Valarie; stepsons, Monty and wife Diane, and Ronny and wife Carla; grandsons, Connor, Jace, Daniel, Andrew and Nathan; granddaughters, Katorya, Jasmine, Alycia, Jaylynn; sisters, Mary and husband Dick, and Irene and husband Bobby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
