Stephens County DA’s office releases list of recent plea deals

Stephens County District Attorney Dee Peavy’s office recently released the following list of convictions that were secured via plea deals that were made in the 90th Judicial District Court.

June 2021

  • William Michael Rodgers, 46, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Failed to Comply Sex Offender Duty to Register Life/Annual – Lesser Included Offense and was sentenced to 20 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division, and to pay $2,500 fine and court costs.
  • Shelby Christina Gomez, 36, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to five years confinement TDCJ-ID, and to pay $5,000 fineand court costs.
  • Steven Randell Brogdon, 34, Italy, pleaded true to the allegations in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Assault Family/House Member Impede Breath/Circulation and was sentenced to three years confinement in TDCJ-ID, and to pay remaining fine and court costs.
  • Cody Joe White, 34, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Theft of Property $100 or More but Less Than $750 – Lesser Included Offense and was sentenced to 90 days confinement in the Stephens County Jail, and to pay $500 fine and court costs.
  • Eric Dean Cowan, 64, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver One Gram or More But Less Than Four Grams – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to eight years community supervision, and to pay $250 fine, court costs, and restitution.
  • Michelle Lee Davis, 32, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Four Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and to pay $1,500 fine, court costs, and restitution.
  • Mackenzie Neely, 24, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and to pay $1,500 fine, court costs, and restitution.
  • Shyna Marie Silva, 23, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and to pay $1,000 fine and court costs.
  • Nathan Martin Tinkle, 34, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Arson and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and was sentenced to $1,500 fine, court costs, and restitution.
  • Pedro Faustino Vargas, 23, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and to pay court costs; and pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to four years community supervision, and to pay $1,500 fine, court costs, restitution.
  • Rea Fay Cates, 36, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Prohibited Substance in Correctional Facility and was sentenced to three years community supervision, and to pay $500 fine and court costs.

July 2021

  • John Michael Nored, 27, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Child Pornography and was sentenced to eight years confinement in the TDCJ-ID, and to pay $2,600 fine and court costs; pleaded guilty to the offense of Sexual Assault of Child and was sentenced to four years confinement in the TDCJ-ID, and to pay $1,600 fine and court costs; and, pleaded guilty to the offense of Invasive Visual Recording and was sentenced to 16 months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice –State Jail Division, and to pay $1,500 fine and court costs.
  • Russell Ray Harrison, 26, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Four Grams or More but Less Than 200 Grams – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to five years community supervision, and to pay $1,200 fine, court costs, and restitution.
