Wayne Hale, age 74, of Cisco, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, September 6, in the Merriman Cemetery in Ranger with Ken Claussen officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Wayne Hale was born March 3, 1947, in Ranger, Texas, to parents LaVoise “Heavy” Hale and Mary Mae Bailey Hale. He worked as a rancher. On October 11, 1971, Wayne married Pamela Ann Taylor of Breckenridge. They were married for 22 years and had two children, Clayton and Stacy. Later, on July 7, 2010, he married Marian Karol Ranson Claussen in Breckenridge. He was an avid hunter with both bows and guns. Along with hunting, Wayne enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, going to the mountains and attending rodeos. If it involved him spending time outdoors, he loved it. Wayne loved to pass on his knowledge and hunting and fishing skills to others especially the children.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Randal Lee Hale.

Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Karol Hale of Cisco; eight children, Clayton Hale and wife Leslie of Hugo, Colorado, Stacy Flournoy and husband Kevin of Breckenridge, Kenneth Claussen and wife Julia of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Curt Moore and wife Kiera of Brighton Colorado, Keith Claussen and wife Stephanie Fofi-Claussen of San Antonio, Juana Hajek and husband Byron of Hugo, Colorado, Shelly Lopez and husband Randy of Calahan, Colorado, and Bobbi Jo Hammit and husband Larry of Hugo, Colorado; and sixteen grandchildren.
