Charlene Herren
Charlene Herren, age 86, of Breckenridge, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. A memorial service for Mrs. Herren will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
Charlene Smith was born March 15, 1935, in Spur, Texas, to B.E. “Chock” Smith and Lottie Feaster Smith. On November 5, 1954, she married Bob Herren in Lovington, New Mexico. Charlene was a Registered Nurse and worked for several hospitals and nursing homes during her career. She loved being a nurse and caring for her patients. She was a member of Gunsight Baptist Church in Breckenridge.
Mrs. Herren was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Robbie Thacker, Donnie Mosser and Glendola Carroll; two sons, Charles Lee Herren and Michael Lee Herren; and one grandson, Brandon Northcutt.
She is survived by her one daughter, Bobbie Roberts and husband Gary; granddaughter, Kristy Ford and husband Jeremy; granddaughter-in-law, Cyndi Northcutt; six great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels or to Gunsight Baptist Church and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at morehartmortuary.net.
