Jesus Torres Guardiola, a long-time resident of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away peacefully at the age of 67, surrounded by his loved ones, on Monday, July 19, 2021. A rosary service will be held from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 22, 2021, in the Melton-Kitchens Chapel of Memories. His funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 23, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with Father Thomas officiating. His interment at Hart Cemetery, under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral home, will immediately follow the funeral mass.

Jesus was born on December 25, 1953, in Nava, Couhulia, Mexico, to parents Jesus and Maria Guardiola. In 1981, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Corona. The two were married for 40 years. Together they had five beautiful children. Jesus enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, traveling, watching movies, as well as eating out or spending time with his beloved cat, Banquera.

Jesus was a loving husband and father. He was a man of many trades that kept him busy throughout the years. He enjoyed raising livestock, fixing and repairing things, and being an entrepreneur.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Torres and Jesus Guardiola, along with three sisters and three brothers.
Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Corona Guardiola of Breckenridge, Texas; daughter, Sarah Guardiola and fiancé Ramone Dixon of Houston, Texas; daughter, Andrea Tanfield and husband Mike of Leander, Texas; daughter, Teresa Almaguer and husband Alfonso of Kempner, Texas; son, Jesse Guardiola of Breckenridge, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth Guardiola of La Feria, Texas; along with a long-time family friend, Kenda Lima.

Pallbearers for Jesus will be his son, Jesse Guardiola; sons-in-law, Alfonso Almaguer, Mike Tanfield, and Ramone Dixon; and cousins, David Ponce and Jesse Ponce.

Memorial donations in Jesus’ name can be made to Meal on Wheels in Breckenridge or the American Stroke Association. Donations can be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
