Barbara Bailes
Barbara Bailes, age 87, of Breckenridge, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Throckmorton Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Barbara Faye Wampler was born July 19, 1933, in Breckenridge, Texas. She graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1951. On March 26, 1955, she married Bob Bailes in Breckenridge. Mr. and Mrs. Bailes moved to Wichita Falls shortly after their marriage and lived there until they returned to Breckenridge in 1980. Mrs. Bailes was a member of First Baptist Church and of The Who So Ever Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Wampler and Velma Pierce Wampler; her husband; and her daughter, Patti Walton.
Mrs. Bailes is survived by her son, Kyle Bailes of Breckenridge; one sister, Pam Wesley of Breckenridge; one grandchild, Karolyne Barry; three great-grandchildren, Colin Andrew, Katlin Brooke and Katherine Brenae; one niece, Kay Smith; two cousins, Delores Mehaffey, Eva Nell Templeton, Rose Harrison; and numerous second cousins; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at morehartmortuary.net.
