Elaria Perales
Elaria Perales, age 81, of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 6, at 1 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary with Pastor Danny Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 5, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Morehart Mortuary.
Elaria Mendoza was born on January 14, 1940, in Hondo, Texas, to Bedal Mendoza and Guadalupe Torres. On October 29, 1961, she married Andres Molena Perales in Knox City. She had previously been employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital working in housekeeping. Elaria loved Elvis Presley and enjoyed going to game rooms and playing Bingo and the slot machines. She was a caring woman and will be missed by many.
Elaria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Andres Perales, Jr.; and seven siblings, Paul, Juan, Mary, Victoria, Sandy, Lela, and Dee.
She is survived by her son, Brian Lee Perales of New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Andres “Andy” Perales III and Jennifer, Kristian Perales, Lorenzo Perales, all of Breckenridge, Victoria Perales of Richland, Brianna Perales, Alana Perales, and Bryson Perales, all of New Mexico; four siblings, Frank Mendoza of New Braunfels, Margie McCratic of Oklahoma, Emilio Mendoza of Breckenridge, Dolores Cross of Graham; and two great-grandchildren, Aliyahna and Phoenix.
