Cornhole and burger fundraisers on Saturday to benefit HCVFD, softball team

The Breckenridge community will have an opportunity to support two local organizations with fundraisers scheduled for Saturday, June 19.
Burger Meal
K-Lakes radio, KLXK 93.5, will host a burger meal drive-through on Saturday, June 19, from noon to 2 p.m. at the radio station, 107 E. Dyer, to benefit the local Xplosion Fastpitch softball team and help offset expenses of the 2020 and 2021 national tournament trips.
A donation of $8 will get you a burger, chips, cookies by Phallon Mendez and ice cold water. All proceeds benefit the team. The team members will be there, signing pictures and handing out burgers, taking orders, etc.
Cornhole Tournament
Beginning at 10 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 6074 FM 2231, a cornhole tournament will benefit the Hubbard Creek Volunteer Fire Department. The cost will be $25 per team, and cash prizes will be awarded. To register for the tournament, call Amy Judkins at 254-522-4800.
There will be food and a cash bar provided by the Elks Lodge; no outside food or beverages will be allowed on the premises.
Those who aren’t playing cornhole can still help out the volunteer fire department by buying raffle tickets for a Treager Century 885 Pellet Grill (includes grill, pellets, spices, and a cover). Tickets cost $5 each or five for $20. There also will be a silent auction.
