Margaret Elaine Ables, 74, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. A memorial service honoring her life will be planned at a later date.

Margaret Elaine Huse was born on June 16, 1947, to parents Qubia and R.L. Huse. She was known as “Gram,” not only to her grandkids, but to friends and acquaintances. She loved to quilt, camp, hunt, and fish. Outside of working for many years at the Swenson Memorial Museum in Breckenridge, she loved spending time with her friends and family. Margaret and Dean, her husband of 54 years, were members of New Hope Baptist Church #3 for over 25 years. She served as the church treasurer for 20 years. She believed in not only hard work and taking care of her family, but also loving the Lord. She will be dearly missed.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Elaine Reneé Ables; and sister, Gwen Cunningham, all of Breckenridge.

She is survived by her husband, Frank E. (Dean) Ables; son, Frank Eric Ables and Melinda McCormack; grandchildren, Dominic Bryant Ables and wife Brooke, Adalyn Ables, Conner McCormack, and Emilia McCormack; great-grandchildren, Eddie Ables and Richard Dean Ables; sisters, Jan Pond and husband John, and Judy Lipkie; along with a multitude of nieces and nephews.
