Jimmy Dale McDaris, 77, went home to be with Jesus on January 14, 2021, at Graham Regional Hospital. He was born August 12, 1943, in Pampa, Texas. He was the son of Carl L. and Bessie McDaris.

Jimmy was raised and lived the majority of his life in Breckenridge, Texas. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1964. He worked for 30 years and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation. Jimmy loved sports. He was a Buckaroo football fan and loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He was also a fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders because his son graduated from there. He loved to fish and loved the river.

Most of all, Jimmy was a family man. He was married to his wife, Carol McDaris, for 46 years. He has one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Emma McDaris of San Marcos, Texas. He had three grandkids, Caleb, Micah, and Briella McDaris. Jimmy was so proud of his family and especially his grandkids.

In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Billy McDaris, and his niece, Judy Bihain.

Besides his wife, kids and grandkids, he is also survived by his sister, Ruth Grantham; nieces, Trachelle Holloway and Carla Inge; and nephews, Eddie Grantham, Howard McDaris, and Michael McDaris.
