Clifford “CJ” Myrick, 79, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away in Abilene on November 10, 2020. Family will be doing a private service at a later date.

Clifford Junior Myrick was born on December 7, 1940, in Big Spring to parents Joe and Josephine Myrick. Clifford graduated high school and then went to work in the oil field business, holding many different jobs with Domson Oil Company and Petco, until he started his own business, Myrick Oil Field Services. On September 8, 1959, he married the love of his life, Juanita. They spent 61 years side by side and cherished every moment.

Clifford and his family were faithful members of Trinity Baptist and raised their family in that church. He was a family man that always put family first. Until his health deteriorated, he loved to hunt at the deer lease and enjoy the outdoors.

Clifford is survived by his wife, Juanita; children, Mike Myrick and wife Pam, and Sherry Davis and husband James; six grandchildren; Cameron Myrick, Aaron Myrick, Kayla Myrick, Misty Varela, Crystal Myrick; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials can be made to a local charity of donor’s choice and left at the Melton Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made at meltonkitchens.com.
