Stephens County DA releases list of recent plea deals

Stephens County District Attorney Dee Peavy’s office recently released the following list of plea deals that were made in the 90th Judicial District Court in August and September:

August 2020

  • Stanley Dale Madison, Jr., 24, Breckenridge, pleaded true to the allegations in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram –Methamphetamine and was sentenced to 18 months confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – State Jail Division, and to pay remaining fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Joseph Richard Lindley, 42, Breckenridge, pleaded true to the allegations in the State’s Motion to Adjudicate Community Supervision for the offense of Theft of Material – Copper, Less Than $20,000 and was sentenced to 12 months confinement in TDCJ-SJ, to pay remaining fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Jorge Alonso Martinez, 49, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to three years community supervision, and to pay $400 fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Cara Dianne Thetford, 37, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse Against Elderly Individual and was sentenced to three years community supervision, and to pay $500 fine and court costs.

September 2020

  • Matthew Allen Ledbetter, 38, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Assault Family/Household Member with Previous Conviction and was sentenced to five years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division, and to pay the remaining fine and court costs.
  • Nicole Michelle Fedor, 36, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to twelve months confinement in the Stephens County Jail, and to pay $500 fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Jonathan Barrera, 36, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member – Lesser Included Offense and was sentenced to 300 Days confinement in the Stephens County Jail, and to pay $500 fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Clarence Zachary Elkins, 38, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Fraud Use/Possession of Identifying Information – Less Than Five Items and was sentenced to five years community supervision, and to pay $500 fine and court costs.
  • Levi Joseph Landon, 30, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Possession of Controlled Substance Less Than One Gram – Methamphetamine and was sentenced to five years community supervision, and to pay $500 fine, restitution, and court costs.
  • Matthew Dean Vega, 37, Breckenridge, pleaded guilty to the offense of Engage in Organized Criminal Activity and was sentenced to five years community supervision, and to pay $1,500 fine and court costs.
