John Fitch
John Fitch, age 56, of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 30, at Gunsight Baptist Church. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.
John Arthur Fitch was born October 14, 1964, in Sunnyvale, California, to parents Jim Fitch and Olga Cady Fitch. On January 23, 1987, he married Teresa Payne in Breckenridge. John worked in maintenance at Triple S/SPI for over twenty years, as well as at Chemplex and in Possum Kingdom. He also did some work as a mechanic on the side. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, working outside, playing games and watching movies. John was a problem solver, and was always there to help those in need. He also enjoyed taking care of animals but most of all; he loved doing any and everything he could with his kids and grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Olga Fitch; and one nephew, Brian Fitch.
John is survived by his wife, Teresa Fitch of Breckenridge; two children, Zoe Cooper and husband Bryan, and Zane Fitch, all of Breckenridge; two siblings, Donna McKee and husband Shawn of Paradise, and James Fitch of Breckenridge; and six grandchildren, Micah, Kadie, Natalee, Violet, Grayson and Scarlett.
Memorials may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Texas Oncology – Abilene South, or the Mary Crawley Cancer Center – Dallas and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
