Stephens County will host a virtual town hall meeting with Texas State Senator Charles Perry, and local residents can send in their questions for the senator to answer.

The virtual town hall meeting will be broadcast live on the Stephens County Facebook page beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7. County Judge Michael Roach has a current post on Facebook where anyone can leave comments with their questions for the senator. Or, questions may be sent to the judge by clicking the “Message” button on the county’s Facebook page.

Perry is the senator for Texas’ District 28, which includes Stephens County as well as the counties of Baylor, Borden, Childress, Coke, Coleman, Concho, Cottle, Crane, Crosby, Dawson, Dickens, Eastland, Fisher, Floyd, Foard, Garza, Hale, Hardeman, Haskell, Hockley, Irion, Jones, Kent, Kimble, King, Knox, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, McCulloch, Mason, Menard, Mitchell, Motley, Nolan, Reagan, Runnels, Schleicher, Scurry, Shackelford, Sterling, Stonewall, Sutton, Terry, Throckmorton, Tom Green, Upton, Ward, and Wilbarger, and a portion of Taylor county.

He is the chair of the Water & Rural Affairs committee and the co-chair of the State Water Implementation Fund for Texas Advisory Committee and the Texas Infrastructure Resiliency Fund Advisory Committee. Perry is also the vice-chair of the Health & Human Services committee and a member of the following committees:
