Kerry Glenn Brooks, 57, of Breckenridge, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2020, in the Chapel of Memories at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Chaplain Tom Moore will officiate the service.

Kerry was born on October 17, 1963, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Roger and Ruby Brooks. The family moved to Denver City, Texas, where Kerry spend a few years of his youth before moving to Breckenridge, Texas. He worked for the City of Breckenridge water department for many years before transitioning to working in the oil field industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Ruby, as well as his brother, David “Dallas” Brooks of Breckenridge.

He is survived by his wife, Carrie Carrigan, and three step-kids: Braden Cole Lindley, Nicholas Ryan Lindley, and Shelby Kay Lindley. He is also survived by his daughter, Trista Hash of Wichita Falls; sons, Tyler Brooks of Abilene and Justin Hash of Wichita Falls; sister, Sherry Ellis of Breckenridge; brother, Kevin Ray Brooks and wife Jannie of Breckenridge; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kerry’s name can be made to the charity or organization of the donor’s choice and can be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made online at meltonkitchens.com.
