Mitzi Lafaye Brandon Davis, age 89, of Breckenridge, passed into the arms of the Lord at noon on September 10, 2020. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, at First Baptist Church with Carl Everett and Darcy Turner officiating. A reception will be held in the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church, following the memorial service. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

She was a faithful servant of the First Baptist Church in Breckenridge, Texas, where she was baptized 80 years ago and taught Sunday school for 73 years. She also served meals to the youth group and volunteered at the hospital for over 25 years. She was a huge Buckaroo fan and was famous for her Friday lunches.

She was preceded in death by her parents, NL “Tuck” Brandon and Ruth Brandon; and brothers, James and Horton Brandon.

She is survived by her children, Terrell Jay Davis and wife Brenda of Franklin, Deborah Kay Hash and husband Randy of Breckenridge, Micheal Ray Davis and wife Lilas of Breckenridge, Mitzi Faye Nichols and husband Terry of Aquilla and Rodney Kuhlmann of Abilene; grandchildren, Sonya Morehart and husband Mark, Brandi Williams and husband Justin, Tyler Fade and wife Stephanie, J.D. Nichols, Cody Fade, Janie Glawe and husband Aaron, Sarah Davis, Haley Davis, Austin Davis, Emma Davis and Zach Davis; nephews, Gordon Brandon and Danny Jacobs; nieces, Sherry Smith, Lisa Dollar, Kara Hornback and Kathy Adelblue; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church building fund and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
