Jocie Dunlap, age 82 of Springtown, formerly of Breckenridge, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:15 p.m. Friday, June 19, at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Morehart Mortuary.

Jocie Ann Peacock was born on June 21, 1937, in Crystal Falls, Texas, to parents, Benjamin Franklin “B.F.” Peacock and Clara Mae Trammell Peacock. On May 20, 1960, she married R.E. Dunlap in Sweetwater. Jocie was a devout Christian and was loved by many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, B.F. and Clara Peacock; her husband, R.E. Dunlap, Sr.; and six siblings, Billy Briscoe, Johnny Briscoe, Margaret Reger, Robert Dean Peacock, George Peacock and Patsy Braddy.

She is survived by her children, R.E. Dunlap, Jr. and family, Tammy Capps and husband Wayne and family, and Troy Lynn Reger and wife Stella and family; and three siblings, Mary Burdine, Troy Peacock, Benny Peacock.

Honorary pallbearers will be James Wade, Jon Trammel, Ray Wulfjen, Charles Taylor, George Peacock, Jr., Ricky Peacock, Wayne Capps, Cameron Holson, Brian Moon and Weston Covey.
