Texas Governor to make coronavirus-related announcement this afternoon
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is scheduled to make an announcement at 2:30 p.m. today, April. 27, regarding Texas’ response to COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. Following the press conference, Stephens County Judge Michael Roach and Breckenridge Mayor Bob Sims will provide announcements about the local response to the situation.
On Friday evening, Roach announced on the Stephens County Facebook page that some of the County’s restrictions were lifted, effective immediately. Specifically, the County-imposed restrictions that have been lifted are the rules on the number of people who can be in each store and how many people from one family who can be in a store. Roach stated on the social media post that individual companies may still have their own regulations that shoppers must adhere to.
