Kenneth Burns
Kenneth Burns, age 91, of Brownwood, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020. Graveside funeral services for the family will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 20, in the Breckenridge Cemetery with Rev. Danny Brown officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Kenneth Richard Burns was born January 6, 1929, in Eliasville, Texas, to parents James Franklin Burns and Hester Suzie Brooks Burns. On May 10, 1953, he married Patricia Ann Kilgore in Eliasville. They were married for nearly 47 years and raised three daughters before her passing in 2000. After her passing, he married Jean Mosby Nix. Kenneth worked at King Appliance. He enjoyed square dancing and will be remembered for always having a good time. Family was a big part of his life and was loved by so many.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, James and Hester Burns; his wife, Patricia Burns; one sister, Betty Pollock; one brother, Eugene Burns; one son-in-law, Billy Hardin, Sr.; and two grandchildren, Billy Harbin, Jr. and Katrisha Honea.
Kenneth is survived by his three daughters, Regena Rose and husband Ronald, Cynthia Day and husband Lynn, both of Brownwood, and Linda Honea of Olden and husband Hal; one brother, Ray Dean Burns of Eliasville; 15 grandchildren; 41 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
