Raymond Baladez Jr. of Breckenridge died early Saturday morning when a vehicle, in which he was a passenger, was involved in an accident in Taylor County. Three others in the vehicle were taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, one with a serious injury, according to a report from the Department of Public Safety.

The crash happened on Business Interstate 20 west of Abilene. According to an updated DPS report, injured in the wreck were the driver of the vehicle, Mitchell Stewart of Breckenridge, who had serious injuries, and Adrianna (Janna) Jaques of Anson and a 14-year-old girl from Anson, both of whom had stable injuries.

Baladez’s family will have a private service on Thursday. Because of the local and state restrictions put in place due to the threat from the novel coronavirus, the funeral must be restricted to family only.
