Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Father Dias will officiate the mass. The Funeral Mass will be streamed on Melton Kitchens Facebook page the day of the service. Due to current COVID-19 mandates, this service will be for immediate family only. The Interment will follow the mass with the same restrictions in Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Melton Kitchens Funeral Home.

Luis Claudio Reyes was born on June 14, 1980, to Claudio and Emma Reyes in Aguascaliente, Mexico. Luis or commonly known as “Susu” to his close friends and family, was a great son, loyal friend, faithful brother and a fierce and protective father. Luis’ two daughters were his life – literally. He would want to be remembered that he always fought for his daughters. Mariela and Isabela were the light in his eyes. He would always tell those close to him that God blessed him with two precious children that he loved more than life itself. Luis was known to have a childlike soul, always performing magic tricks to his daughters and nieces. He just wanted to get a laugh out of them. It brought a joy to see those around him happy. Luis loved to hang out with friends and cook, watch movies or soccer. His favorite soccer team was Las Chivas. Some of the favorite things he would cook up with his friends were homemade tacos and carne asada. There were several fortunate residences in Breckenridge that he shared his cooking with, while always bringing a smile to his face. Luis may have had a short time on this earth, but he made a huge impact on those around him. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

Luis was preceded in death by his uncle he dearly loved, Francisco “Pacho” Davila. He is survived by his parents, Claudio and Emma Reyes of Breckenridge; sister, Claudia Rubio and husband Roden of Breckenridge; brothers, Edgardo Reyes and wife Rosa of Ennis, Texas, and Edson Reyes and wife Ana of Breckenridge, Texas; and many friends.

Memorials can be made of donor’s choice in honor of his name. The memorials can be left at the Melton Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences can be made at www.meltonkitchens.com.
