Frances Wood, age 76 of Breckenridge, passed away Friday, March 6, 2020. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, March 9, at Breckenridge Cemetery with Pastor Trey McDuff officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Sunday, March 8, at Morehart Mortuary.

Elitha Frances Williams was born September 23, 1943, in Breckenridge, Texas, to parents Jack Williams and Juanita Renfro Williams.

She grew up in Breckenridge and would later marry Gordon Lee Wood, Sr. Mrs. Woods enjoyed crocheting, reading, doing puzzles, planting flowers and watching her favorite show, The Walking Dead. She loved her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids and enjoyed cooking holiday meals for all her family. Mrs. Wood also loved to take long walks and sit and watch hummingbirds come to her feeders to eat.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Lee Wood, Sr.; her parents, Jack and Juanita Williams; two brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.

Mrs. Wood is survived by her five children, Susan Glenn and husband Vernon of Breckenridge, Gordon Wood, Jr. of Nebraska, Brenda Pollie of Azel, Alice Jackson of Ranger, and Frances E. McCable of Breckenridge; three sisters, Rena Beth Humphreys and husband Pat of Breckenridge, Joyce Gunter of Breckenridge, and Judy Pitt of Stephenville; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
