Johnny Frank Hall
John Hall, 72, of Breckenridge, Texas, passed away surrounded by his children in Abilene on January 27, 2020. The funeral service will be held January 31, 2020, at the Lighthouse Church at 1 p.m. with Michael Roach and Gary Trammell officiating the service. The family will welcome friends on Thursday, January 30, 2020, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. in the foyer of the Lighthouse Church. The family will have a private family burial at the Oakland Cemetery in Oakland, Texas, following the service. The services will be under the direction of Melton Kitchens Funeral Home.
Johnny Frank Hall was born May 14, 1947, in Jacksonville, Texas, to parents J.T. and Edith Hall. After high school he joined the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged after serving his country. John moved to Breckenridge in 1979 and was a License and Weight Trooper with the Department of Public Safety. John retired being a trooper after almost 28 years with Department of Public Safety. Some of the many things John loved were to fish with his grandsons, fishing tournaments with his friends, visiting with the guys at L & L Café every morning, going to the casino and watching his grandkids in any of the activities they were involved in.
John was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Hall and Edith Beard, and sister, Sandra Jo Hall-McDaniels.
John was survived by daughters, Misty Griffith and husband Brian of Breckenridge, Kristy Mackey and JJ of Breckenridge, and Patricia Hall Phillips of Abilene; son, John Frank Hall and wife Shawna of Galveston; and grandchildren, McKenzie Griffith, Tanner Griffith, Chance Mackey, Teagan Hall, Morgan Hall, John Wesley Vick and Nicholas Dean Speer.
