First National Bank reaches 100 percent participation in United Fund donations

For the fifth year in a row, First National Bank of Breckenridge has achieved 100 percent participation in the fundraising campaign for the Breckenridge United Fund.

United Fund members gathered this morning, Jan. 28, to recognize the FNB employees for the accomplishment. Additionally, the bank once again matched the employees’ contributions, so the total donated this year was $2,315.

United Fund President Sherry Strickland said that, so far, the United Fund campaign donations total $13,233 or more than 70 percent of this year’s goal, which is $18,000.

The organization is a local group that collects funds to support a variety of organizations. This year, the United Fund will make donations to the following:

  • All His Children of Stephens County
  • Boy Scouts Troop 63
  • Breckenridge Fine Arts Center
  • Breckenridge Library
  • Breckenridge Little League
  • Breckenridge Youth Soccer
  • Cub Scouts Pack 81
  • Dr. Goodall’s House
  • Friends of Historic Breckenridge
  • Girl Scouts Troop 8356
  • Meals on Wheels
  • The Open Door
  • The SHAC (School Health Advisory Committee)
  • Stephens County Agriculture & Community Center
  • Stephens County Child/Foster Welfare Board
  • Stephens County Humane Society
  • Swenson Memorial Museum

Anyone who would like to donate may mail a check to: United Fund of Breckenridge, Inc., P.O. Box 170, Breckenridge, TX 76424.
