Three local governing boards will have elections on May 2 and are currently accepting applications for the various positions that are up for election this year.

Along with the rest of Texas, Breckenridge and Stephens County have overlapping election cycles. The Stephens County election for offices such as Sheriff and County Commissioner takes place with the state and national election. The primary for that election will be on March 3.
