BFAC Director Shalon Wilson has festively  decorated the front lobby of the fine arts center with brightly adorned Christmas trees and a miniature Christmas village featuring the collection of the late Travis Toland, a former gallery director for the BFAC.

Wilson said she hopes families will visit the BFAC to see the Christmas decorations. “I’d love for the kids to come up here and get their picture taken, so that over the years they can look back and remember coming to the Fine Arts Center at Christmas every year,” she said.

While at the BFAC, visitors can also take in the “Once Upon a Time” exhibit by artist Larry Hamilton of Wichita Falls, as well as the permanent doll collection and festival dresses.

The BFAC is a nonprofit, and one of its fundraisers takes place this month, the fifth annual Tour of Homes. The event is scheduled for 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, at six Breckenridge homes, which will be decorated for the holidays.

The 2019 Tour of Homes will feature the homes of Kymbre and Blake Hamilton, Derinda and Rocky Holland, Ashley and Andy Rodgers, Sumer and Roy Russell, JB Sparks, and Charla and Brian Valenzuela. Additionally, The Bouquet & Co. will host a Sip and See event for the Tour of Homes attendees after they finish the tour.

Tour of Homes tickets cost $15 each and are available at First National Bank, Breckenridge Interbank, the Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce, and the BFAC. The fine arts center will be open from noon to 2 p.m. on Dec. 8 with tickets available for purchase.

The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center is located at 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. It is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
