Connie Swan, 73, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2019, in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019, at the Pavilion at Breckenridge Cemetery with Rex Dodds officiating. The interment is under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

Connie Randall Swan was born on March 4, 1946, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Sandford J. and Flossy Swan. He was an avid Buckaroo sports fan all of his adult life. Connie lived and breathed anything to do with our local sports and those that were involved.

We can’t always control what happens in life, but we always get to control our attitude. No one proved this more than Connie Swan. Although he was born with cerebral palsy, Connie did not let that physical limitation stop him from being the most positive and happiest person you would ever meet. Every interaction was filled with his big Texas smile and an amazement of how brilliant he was. Connie loved his Dr Pepper, fried chicken, pork chops and Krispy Kreme donuts, but most of all Breckenridge football. He could remember every player and stat for the last 50 years. One of Connie’s dying wishes was to make it long enough to see 2020 football schedule.

Connie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bennie, Johnny and Buddy Lynn Swan; and sister, Joyce Swan.

Connie is survived by two brothers, Ricky Swan and wife Loretta of Breckenridge, and Billy Swan and wife Patsy of Breckenridge; and numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

Memorial contributions can be made in his name to the Breckenridge High School Athletic Department and may be left at the Melton Kitchens Funeral Home office. Condolences may be made at www.meltonkitchens.com
