Wags & Whiskers run raises funds for Humane Society
Thirty runners — including a few dogs — gathered in the Breckenridge City Park on Saturday morning, Nov. 9, for the fifth annual Wags and Whiskers 5K and Furry Fun Run benefiting the Stephens County Humane Society.
Evan Moore, age 17, was the top male finisher – overall, completing the 5K with a time of 20:44.3. Laura Thomas, 26, was the top female finisher – overall – with a time of 24:11.7.
In the Furry Fun Run, the winners were: Addie Farmer, first place, overall; Amy Barrera, second place, female; Bev Frishe, third place, female; Nate Barrera, first place, male; Reyse Hash, second place, male; and Brysen Hash, third place male.
