Christopher Lawrence Whitehead, age 45 of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Turner officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, November 2, at First Baptist Church. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Christopher Lawrence Whitehead was born July 25, 1974, in Beaumont, Texas, to Daniel Leonard Whitehead and Judith Kay Perkins Whitehead. He grew up in Beaumont and graduated from West Brook High School in 1992. On November 27, 2017, he married Davlyn Speer in Breckenridge. Chris worked for API Perforating in Albany, which he considered to be his second family. He enjoyed fishing and playing games, especially poker. He loved children and spending time with his family. Chris was a perfectionist who could fix anything and was always on the go doing something.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Judith Whitehead.

Chris is survived by his wife, Davlyn Speer Whitehead of Breckenridge; one son, Culton Speer and wife Gena of Eastland; two sisters, Melissa Rezsutek and husband Michael, and Mary Boudreaux, all of Beaumont; his in-laws, James and Angela Speer of Breckenridge; one brother-in-law, Shane Speer and wife Samantha of Melissa; nieces and nephews, Jessica Crouch and husband Geoffrey and their son Reid, Jacob Speer, Caroline Speer, Daniel Whitehead, Kayce Whitehead, Joey Rezsutek, Zayden Armstrong; his fur babies, Riley, Reagan, and Reece; and numerous aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the ASPCA and may be left at Morehart Mortuary. Condolences may be made online at www.morehartmortuary.net.
