Before the start of Friday night’s football game, the Breckenridge High School 2019 Homecoming Court gathered on the field for the big reveal. As a chilly wind blew through Buckaroo Stadium, Cynthia Huerta was crowned the 2019 BHS Homecoming Queen and Rolando Gallegos was named Homecoming King.

A chance of rain in the forecast for Friday night’s football game led to some rearranging of the scheduled events. But by that evening the weather was only slightly overcast, so the Homecoming Court activities were held in Buckaroo Stadium before the varsity football team took on the Early Longhorns.

The Homecoming Queen nominees included Yadhira Alvarado, Layni Hinson, Hailey Jones and Hailey Robertson. The Homecoming King nominees included Kelsey Gallegos, Tristan Garcia, Kooper Shook and Owen Woodward.

The Homecoming Court also included the Junior Princess and Prince, Nayeli Hernandez and Jonas Arellano; Sophomore Princess and Prince, Samantha Smalley and Julian Eutimio; and Freshman Princess and Prince, Cara Schkade and Zeke Castillo.

The Buckaroos went on to win the football game, 40-7, over the Longhorns. Click here to read the Breckenridge Texan article about the game.
