BHS Homecoming activities scheduled for next week
The Breckenridge High School Homecoming football game and related activities are scheduled for next week, Oct. 21-25.
The Football Game
The Homecoming Football Game will be against the Early High School Longhorns. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Buckaroo Stadium. We will update this story as more details become available for the schedule for Homecoming activities.
Homecoming Parade
The Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Wednesday evening, Oct. 23.
The theme of this year’s Homecoming Parade is “The Mighty Buckaroos,” and entries are encouraged to include a “Super Hero” theme to their floats. The parade is being organized by members of BLOC (Breckenridge Love Of Cheer) and MOB (Mothers of Buckaroos).
All Homecoming Parade entries must be received by Monday Oct. 21. The entry forms may be picked up or dropped off at Party Planet, 109 N. Baylor Ave., or Blast Dance Company, 218 W. Williams St. To get a form emailed, send a message to chelalehr@yahoo.com. The organizers said that late entries will not be accepted.
Other Activities
The elementary schools will be getting into the Homecoming spirit with dress up days throughout next week.
Homecoming Dress Up Days
- Monday — Oct. 21 — Hat day
- Tuesday — Oct. 22 — Color Wars — At East Elementary, Pre-K and Head Start will wear white, Kindergarten will wear blue and First grade will wear red; at North Elementary, Second Grade will wear purple, and Third Grade will wear yellow; and at South Elementary, Fourth Grade will wear orange, Fifth Grade will wear pink, and Sixth Grade will wear black.
- Wednesday — Oct. 23 — Superhero
- Thursday — Oct. 24 –Hippie/TyeDye
- Friday — Oct. 25 –Green out
At Breckenridge High School, the following dress up days will be celebrated:
- Monday: Dress Like Your Favorite Meme
- Tuesday: Twin Day
- Wednesday: Way Back When
- Thursday: Hippie Day
- Friday: Green-Out Day
