Bobbie Jean Ridgeway, 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, September 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at Bethany Baptist Church with grandson, Robert Ridgeway, and Curtis Payne officiating. Private family interment will follow under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home at the Breckenridge Cemetery.

Bobbie was born November 30, 1929, in Weoka, Oklahoma, to parents Vance and Velma Bates. She attended and graduated Corpus Christi High in 1948. Bobbie was a homemaker who also worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for the family business, real estate agent, a Sunday school teacher and many years as a substitute teacher. She enjoyed being around her children and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her faith in the Lord was great and loved being in her church services and going to church conventions.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daryl Ridgeway; and sister-in-law, Joyce Ridgeway.

Bobbie is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ridgeway of Breckenridge; three grandchildren, Laura Pilgrim and husband Kevin, Robert Ridgeway and wife Tosha, and Alicia Pitchford and husband Scott; seven great grandchildren, Shayla, Sarah, Eason, Seth, Robby, Reese and Roman; nieces, Tonya, Sonya and Sidonna; and many friends that she met over her long and blessed life.

Memorial contributions can be made in her name to the Meals on Wheels and may be left at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Condolences may be made at www.meltonkitchens.com
