This morning’s Breckenridge High School pep rally honored local first responders, military members and veterans in recognition of this week’s Patriot Day (Wednesday, Sept. 11). Members of the Breckenridge Police Department, Breckenridge Fire Department, Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, Sacred Cross EMS, volunteer fire departments, U.S. military veterans and others attended the event.

The pep rally was in advance of tonight’s varsity Buckaroo football game against the Cisco High School Loboes. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at Chesley Field Football Stadium in Cisco.

The Pride of Breckenridge – Buckaroo Marching Band will be wearing their new uniforms for the first time at a football game tonight. They are the first new uniforms the band has had in 11 years. The community got a sneak peek at the uniforms, which feature the Buckaroo logo, at the annual fundraising Spring Concert and Potato Bake last spring.
