Frankie Christine Gray Jenkins, 92, of Breckenridge went to be with the Lord, Saturday, August 24, 2019. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 28, at Breckenridge Cemetery with Don Nelson officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. prior to the graveside service at Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

She was born October 30, 1926, in Mertzon, Texas, to parents William Franklin Gray and Lora Jane Minor Gray. She attended and graduated high school in Mertzon, Texas. On July 1, 1974, she married Leonard “L.W.” Jenkins in Breckenridge, Texas. The couple shared many wonderful years until his passing in 1971. Frankie loved to deer hunt with her husband, and with L.W. in the military, they both were fortunate to travel the country with his job. L.W. was truly the love of her life. She worked as a secretary for the Breckenridge City Manager for more than 10 years, and then went to work at Petco/Breck Operating Corporation as a secretary until she retired. Then, she spent her later years enjoying her home on Lake Hubbard and her two cats. She loved her family and hearing of their adventures. Frankie was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Carter Conaway and L.W. Jenkins; daughter, Linda Marie Williams, brothers; Minor, Vester, Carrol and Willie Gray.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Conaway and wife Debbie of Granbury, granddaughter, Erin Conaway of Victoria, grandson, Sammy Parsons of Hobbs, New Mexico, great grandchildren, Josh and Ryan Parsons of Hobbs, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews.
