Rodney Burton
Rodney Burton, age 70 of Breckenridge, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2019. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 14, in the Breckenridge Cemetery with Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Rodney Lee Burton was born June 19, 1949, in Breckenridge, Texas, to parents Louis R. Burton and Dovie Gay Errington Burton. He worked as a truck driver and in the oil field. Rodney also raised goats and cattle and loved going to cattle auctions. He loved his children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rodney is survived by two children, Dovie Burton and Grace Jaramillo, both of Breckenridge; one brother, Bud Burton and wife Helen of Breckenridge; six grandchildren, Martin Olaves, Matthew Jaramillo, Marisol Jaramillo, Carisa Olaves, Meriah Jaramillo and Marco Jaramillo; and three great-grandchildren, Marlee Olaves, Andrew Jaramillo and Kudi Lee Olaves.
