Local radio station to broadcast Breckenridge girl’s softball travel team tournament games
The Breckenridge girl’s 12 and under softball travel team XPlosion will compete in the USA Softball of Texas West State Tournament and National Qualifier in Wichita Falls this weekend.
Charlie Parker with local radio station KLXK 93.5 FM will provide play-by-play game action from all the team’s games during the tournament on both on the radio at 93.5 FM and on the Internet at klxkkrooradio.com.
XPlosion will open pool play Friday night with games at 7:10 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Bracket play is scheduled to begin Saturday, where it will be double elimination. Depending on how well the team does in the tournament, Parker said, there could be anywhere from 4 to 7 games broadcast.
All the games will be played at the City of Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road. XPlosion will play their first game on Field 4 and their second game on Field 3. There are 20 teams competing in the tournament in the 12C category.
