Detra Kay Clark
Detra Kay Clark, age 52 of Woodson, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019, at home surrounded by family. A Celebration service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at First Baptist Church in Woodson with Jeremy Smith officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, May 24, at Morehart Mortuary.
Detra Kay Smith was born September 13, 1966, in Sweetwater, Texas, to parents Elga Ray Smith and Ada Hitchcock Smith. She graduated from Woodson High School. On May 19, 1984, Detra Kay married Teddy Clark in Woodson. She was a member at the First Baptist Church in Woodson and was active in Team Kids and Awana’s.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lynn Doyle.
Detra is survived by her husband, Teddy Clark of Woodson; two daughters, Stephanie Anderson and husband Jason of Woodson, and Ashley Duran and husband Jeremy of Breckenridge; her parents, Elga Ray and Ada Smith of Woodson; three brothers, Mike Smith and wife Mary of Midland, Charles “Bo” Smith and wife Glenna of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Casey Smith and wife LaReka of Woodson; one brother-in-law, Donny Doyle of Dickinson; six grandchildren, Braylee Clark, Hagen Anderson, Layton Anderson, Carson Duran, Caylee Duran and Case Duran; and numerous nieces and nephews.
