Jeffrey Lynn Gandy, age 58 of Abilene, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2019, in Midland, Texas, while on the job. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Breckenridge with Andy Rogers and Justin Gandy officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Post Oak Cemetery under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home. The family will welcome friends and family on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, for a visitation at the Melton-Kitchens Chapel from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Jeffrey was born November 25, 1960, to parents Mickey and Bobbie Gandy in Breckenridge, Texas. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1979. Shortly after high school, Jeff went to work in the oil field industry, working his way up the ranks for the last thirty years. In the mid 1990s, Jeff married the love of his life, Kathy Ann Thames. He was a devoted and loving husband, son, brother, Pop Pop, uncle and friend too many. Family was of great importance to him at all times. One of the main driving forces behind his hard work ethics, was that he wanted to make sure his loved ones were always taken care of and happy.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents that he always adored. 

Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Kathy Gandy of Abilene; parents, Mickey and Bobbie Gandy of Clyde; daughters, Julia Hazlip and husband Matt of Clyde, Tabitha Hanes of Fort Worth, and Tiffani Gandy of Abilene; son, Lance Gandy of Midland; sisters, Melissa Payne of Oologah, Oklahoma, Jenee Cason of Abilene, Misty Harrison of Abilene and Mendy Woodson of Clyde, Texas; four grandchildren; and numerous friends. 

Memorials may be left at the Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home for American Heart Association and The American Cancer Association. Condolences may be left for Jeff at www.meltonkitchens.com
