Douglas Ray Waggoner went home to be with the Lord on April 30, 2019. The family will greet friends for a visitation at the Melton-Kitchens Chapel, Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m. with a service to follow in chapel at 3 p.m. The arrangements have been entrusted to Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.

He was born February 26, 1960, in Abilene, Texas, to Leslie Doyle Sr. and Eula Lia Waggoner.

Douglas is survived by his wife, Diana; mother, Eula Lia Waggoner of Breckenridge; daughter, Michele Waggoner and partner Penny of Breckenridge; sister, Nikki Lynn Ethridge and husband Raymond of Abilene; brother, Leslie Doyle Waggoner, Jr. of Breckenridge; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Douglas was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and son. He was a kind, gentle teddy bear, however he loved to aggravate his family. Douglas loved his dogs, cats, cattle, ranch, boating, fishing, art, camping, Texas Longhorns, wrestling, NASCAR and live PD. He was loved by many and touched many lives with his life long career in law enforcement and EMT service. Douglas held offices of Treasurer and President in the Blue Knights Texas 30 bikers out of Georgetown, Texas.

Douglas was preceded in death by his dad, Doyle Waggoner, and son, Jason Edminson. He will be missed, however we will as a family keeps our memories of a loving gentle soul that was always willing to help anyone out at any time.
