Early Saturday morning, the Caddo Volunteer Fire Department hid 5,461 plastic eggs for their annual Easter Egg Hunt in the Breckenridge City Park, and dozens of kids showed up, eager to fill their baskets.

The Caddo VFD received assistance from several local businesses: Walmart donated the candy and brought the Easter Bunny, Dairy Queen provided coupons for free dip cones, and the Breckenridge Fire Department donated bracelets.

The Grand Prize egg was an extra-large plastic egg filled with lots of candy.

After the Easter Egg Hunt, children lined up to take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Easter is today, Sunday, April 21. Many local churches are having special Easter services.

Breckenridge Independent School District students and teachers will be off on Monday, April 22. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 23.
