Wanda was born on July 22, 1934, in Cisco, Texas, to D. Standifer and Lula May Childs. She loved her city of Breckenridge, where she raised her children and ran a thriving business. Wanda Green had the Blossom Shop for over 28 years in the downtown area of the city she loved. In her retirement years, she treasured her time spent with her children, and especially her grandchildren. Wanda always made time for fishing and running off with friends to gamble. Anyone that knew her, have many funny stories of seeing her run off to gamble. Wanda found such excitement in putting dollar bills in the machine, and just watching to see the outcome. She loved to travel with her friends and see new places in any spare time. She was a member of the Elliott Street Church of Christ. The folks that knew her know she worked hard and knew how to play hard as well.
Wanda is survived by her daughter, Shelly Perez of Breckenridge; sons, Chandler Green and Bobbie Riley of Eliasville, Standifer Green and wife Tonya of Wylie, Texas; sister, Aline Reed of Fort Worth; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous friends that meant the world to her. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Olan Childs; grandson, Fodie Green; and two great-grandchildren.
