David Beauchamp

David Beauchamp, age 76 of Breckenridge, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Dennis Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Breckenridge Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Morehart Mortuary.

David Eugene Beauchamp was born June 3, 1942, in Weatherford, Texas, to Onice Lince Beauchamp and Rose Bell Latham Beauchamp. He grew up in Breckenridge and graduated from Breckenridge High School. While in high school, he played on the 1959 Buckaroo state football team. On September 8, 1962, he married Neva Sorgee in Breckenridge. David was employed as a machinist for R.E. Dye Manufacturing for 59 years up until his passing. He raised cattle and was an avid hunter. During his younger years, he raised award-winning coon dogs and took pride in them. David loved his family, especially his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Onice and Rose Bell Beauchamp; his wife of 49 years, Neva Beauchamp; one brother, James Beauchamp; and one sister, Dovie Abel.

He is survived by his three children, David Beauchamp, Jr. of Hawley, Steven Beauchamp of Breckenridge, Treva Buck and husband Patrick of Nacogdoches; also, Trina Beauchamp of Abilene, Kathy Eoff of Zephyr; one brother, Carl Beauchamp and wife June of Breckenridge; two sisters, Ruby Berkley of Wayland, Gladis Blackerby of Breckenridge; 11 grandchildren, Eric Beauchamp, Jacob Beauchamp and wife Sarah, Christina Beauchamp, Kara Beauchamp, Brianna Buck, Pierce Beauchamp, Jonathan Beauchamp, Dakota Buck, Brighton Beauchamp, Megan Beauchamp, Gevin Beauchamp; and 10 great-grandchildren.
