Tuesday, Oct. 7
National Night Out
The local 2025 National Night Out event, hosted by the City of Breckenridge and the Breckenridge Police Department, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Stephens County Law Enforcement Center, 210 E. Dyer St. Click here for more details.

Saturday, Oct. 11
Free Movie 
The National Theatre will host a free movie showing, the animated “The Bad Guys 2” (2025), presented by Copperleaf Properties, on Saturday, Oct. 11, beginning at 7 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase via cash or card. No outside food or drink is allowed. Doors will open at 6:15 p.m.

Saturday, Oct. 11
BFAC Juried Art Show – Closing Reception
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center will host its 33rd Annual Juried Art Show’s closing reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11. The show’s juror, Liz Bonham, will share insights into her art selections, and you’ll have the chance to connect with the artists featured in this year’s show. The BFAC is located at 207 N. Breckenridge Ave. and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Click here for more information about the show.

Saturday, Oct. 25
Health Fair
Stephens Memorial Hospital will host the annual Stephens County Health Fair from 7 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the First Baptist Church Family Live Center. More details to come.

Saturday, Oct. 25
Fall Festival
The Ridge Cowboy Church will host its annual Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25. There will be a free hotdog lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and free popcorn, games, cake walk, face painting, hayride and prizes until 2 p.m. The Fall Festival will be at the Ridge Cowboy Church at 108 County Road 221, just west of the Mile Long Bridge over Hubbard Creek Lake.

Saturday, Oct. 25
Quilting Art workshop
Rhonda Crawford and Desiree Powell will teach a kids quilting workshop on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Breckenridge Fine Arts Center. The class will be offered at the following times for specific age groups:

  • Kindergarten -first grade: 9-10:15 a.m., ages 4-6
  • Second and third grades: 11 am. to 12:15 p.m., age 7-8
  • Fourth through sixth grades: 2-3:15 p.m., age 9-11

The class will work with fabric and glue for the workshop. The cost will be $3 per child. Contact the BFAC at 254-559-6602.

Tuesday, Oct. 28
Downtown Family Fun Fest
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the third annual Downtown Family Fun Fest from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in downtown Breckenridge. There will be Trunk-or-Treat, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating contest, hayrides and lots of candy. More details to come.

Wednesday, Oct. 29
Fall Festival at First Methodist Church
First Methodist Church of Breckenridge will host a Fall Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the church’s Christian Life Center, 419 W. Walker. There will be free food and carnival games; costumes will be welcomed.

Thursday, Oct. 30
East Elementary’s Trunk or Treat
East Elementary will host its annual Trunk or Treat event for the community, beginning at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30.

November 21-22
Mingle & Jingle and Tree Lighting
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Mingle & Jingle shopping event and Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 21, and Saturday, Nov, 22, in
downtown Breckenridge and at other participating local businesses. More details to come.

Saturday, Dec. 6
Holiday Tour of Homes
The Breckenridge Fine Arts Center will host the Holiday Tour of Homes on Saturday, Dec. 6. The fundraiser will feature a variety of local homes decorated for the holidays. More details to come.

Thursday, Dec. 11
Cowboy Christmas Parade
The Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Christmas parade through downtown Breckenridge, beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11. More details to come.
