Jessie Gallegos
Jesus “Jessie” Gallegos, age 64 of Breckenridge, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. Family will be welcoming friends for a Rosary on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Melton-Kitchens Chapel. Mass services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Jesus, the son of Catarino and Hermelinda Gallegos, was born in Mezquital Durango, Mexico, on June 25, 1954. Jesus went to work as a young man for Breckenridge Exploration doing seismic work. He worked in the oil field industry until his health would not allow him any longer. He loved animals of all kinds and found great joy in taking care of them. Jesus enjoyed fishing and gardening. He would advise others on how best to do a garden. Like any decent fisherman, he had his fishing stories. He loved to spend his spare time fishing with loved ones.
Jesus was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Gallegos is survived by his special friend, Matlinda; daughters, Gloria Arriola and Gilbert of Breckenridge, Sonja Gallegos of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Alma Gallegos of South, Georgia; sisters, Hortencia Gallegos of Cloumbia, South Carolina, Gricelada Gallegos, Alejandra Gallegos, both of Mexico; brothers, Arturo Gallegos of Mexico, Refugio Gallegos of Breckenridge, Catarino Gallegos of Mexico, Omar Gallegos of Columbia, South Carolina and Ceasar Gallegos of Atlanta, Georgia; along with nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
